Women's on Fishgoo: Fit, Fabric, and a Sharp QC Eye

The women's category spans dresses, tops, knitwear, outerwear, and sets, so there's no single rule — but the two questions that decide most orders are how it fits and how the fabric behaves. Through Fishgoo, use the measurement chart to get the fit right and the QC photos to check the make before it ships.

Sizing is the biggest hurdle, because women's cuts vary enormously and size labels here run smaller than Western equivalents more often than not.

• Measure, don't guess. Take bust, waist, hip, and length from a garment you already own and match those numbers to the listing. A given "M" can be a Western S — the flat measurements are the only reliable guide.
• Cut and stretch. A fitted dress with no stretch is far less forgiving than a relaxed top. Read whether the fabric has give, because a snug measurement in a rigid fabric leaves no room.
• Fabric and lining. Thin fabrics can be semi-transparent, and unlined dresses may need a slip. Check the material line and, in QC, look at whether the fabric hangs with weight or looks flimsy.

Construction details separate a considered piece from a bulk one. In the QC set, check that seams are even, hems are clean, zippers and buttons sit flat and work, and any pattern aligns across seams. On knitwear, look at stitch density and stretch; on anything with pleating or gathering, check it's even and intentional.

Color accuracy deserves attention here, since women's pieces lean on specific shades. Pastels, deep jewel tones, and off-whites drift most between screen and fabric, so if the exact color matters to the look, ask for a well-lit QC photo and judge from that.

Shrinkage applies to cotton and certain knits, so if length or fit is borderline, plan to wash cool and size with that in mind. Delicate fabrics also need gentler packing, which is worth noting to Fishgoo for the onward trip.

Sets and coordinated pieces have an extra check: confirm both pieces are included and that they're sized consistently, since tops and bottoms in a set don't always run the same.
