1. Review every item category
Make a simple parcel inventory with product name, material, intended use, quantity and value. Avoid vague labels. For an EU-bound parcel below €150, the temporary €3 customs duty is assessed per different category of goods according to tariff classification. A mixed parcel may therefore create more than one charge.
2. Confirm the line accepts the full parcel
A route can accept ordinary clothing but reject batteries, liquids, cosmetics, food or oversized goods. Check the entire item mix, not only the heaviest product. If one item removes all reasonable route choices, compare the cost of returning it or shipping it separately.
3. Match documents to the destination
